Ohio Daily Fantasy Sports Bill Likely to Become Law

The Ohio legislature has approved a daily fantasy sports bill that will legalize and regulate fantasy contests if signed by Governor John Kasich. If the governor signs off on the bill, daily fantasy operators such as FanDuel and DraftKings will be required to apply for a license and follow regulations in order to operate in Ohio moving forward. Daily Fantasy Sports Legalized in Connecticut via State Budget

Last week, Connecticut became the latest state to formally legalize and regulate daily fantasy sports. Governor Dannel Malloy signed off on a budget last Tuesday that includes provisions to legalize daily fantasy sports and implement regulations over the industry. Pennsylvania Gambling Bill to Formally Legalize Daily Fantasy Sports

Daily fantasy sports came one step closer to achieving official legal status in Pennsylvania today after the House voted in favor of sweeping gambling reform. The Pennsylvania Senate voted in favor of HB 271 last night and passed on to the house, which approved the bill earlier this morning. Now, the bill awaits the signature of Governor Tom Wolf.
